December 17, 2009 by Michael Plank

The FDT Search now also finds search terms in your MXML files and will display them properly in the search view. In addition we have added wizards for creating Top Level Variables and Functions and a lot new Code Templates for Metadata Tags, Flex Lifecycle methods, Vector.<> and so forth. Take a look at the list of new features introduced in Beta 2 and Beta 1 here.

This is the last beta update before we will release the final version of FDT 3.5 currently planned for January.

Your support is highly appreciated. If you find any bugs or have any feature requests, please report them at bugs.powerflasher.com

Flashpitt: (http://www.flashpitt.com/)

Many of you have been waiting for an official announcement of the winners of the comment competition about Flashcamp Pittsburgh, the Flashpitt. The winners themselves have been notified, and they were all “psyched” about FDT. I’m glad to announce that Javier Fadul and Kevin Suttle each won an FDT Professional license and Bittersweet Harvest won an FDT Enterprise license for their best comment. Thanks to Val, the camp was really successful and we’re all looking forward to next year’s event.

RIA Unleashed: (http://www.riaunleashed.com/)

Everyone needs to have Toys!

December 3, 2009 by Carlo Matic

Chuck Freedman started an awesome initiative: a charity event named RIA Beard Off to support The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, so more needy and deserving kids can have toys to open this holiday season.

Powerflasher wants to share the love for this community and have donated too!

An amazing list of top Flash Developers have contributed, shaved and are now growing (or trying to grow) beards !

Also, make sure to check out what’s happening on twitter: Real-time results for #riabeardoff.

Additionally, to continue the donation incentives began by Elad Elrom, continued by Brian Connatser and followed by Joseph Labrecque, Powerflasher is also adding an incentive for those who contribute to this great community event.

Everyone needs to have Toys! Therefore for all new people contributing after us will have a chance to win a FDT Pro License.

All you need to do is make a donation!
