Bye bye FOTB

September 16, 2011 by Stefan Hense

Good bye Brighton, hello Aachen – We’re back from Flash on the Beach 2011 with some good and “bad” news.

It was nice. It was exhausting. It was fun. It was inspiring (still is!) and it is over.

The bad news is: it is over for real. During the last event, John Davey, host and organizer of FOTB, announced the official end of Flash on the Beach. This is especially sad since we loved the great venue and creative vibe. Over the last couple of years, we enjoyed Flash on the Beach a lot, so that it was no surprise it quickly became one of Powerflasher’s favorite creative events with tons of Flash content.

But the good news at the same time: soon a new event will rise. Renewed and more comprehensive than before. It will involve more than ‘just’ Flash. So stayed tuned.

And while FOTB transitions into a new era, that applies for FDT, which supports more than Flash now, as well.

As promised before, we lifted our surprise and announced FDT 5 Free. It was a blast! The response was overwhelming and we wished, we had more FDT staff members around to answer all your questions. Feel free to contact us at any time.

Luckily, we were still able to freeze time and created some nice memories. So check out Flickr and this small video with many familiar and new faces.

We’re happy, that we could be part of FOTB 2011!

FDT @ FOTB

August 25, 2011 by Carlo Matic

We are glad again to be sponsoring this year’s Flash on the Beach in the beautiful city of Brighton, UK. The prestigious conference for designers and coders likewise will take place September 11 through September 14. According to tradition we will have a surprise in our luggage

“Surprise” was the word making you keep reading, right? But save your false hope, we promise it will stay secret until FOTB! If you want to attend the revealing in person – there are still tickets left; otherwise have no worries, we will of course share it on the usual channels such as blogs, Facebook and Twitter.

About FOTB

Flash on the Beach’s goals are to bring the best minds in design and development to share, educate and inspire. The conference offers the opportunity to get hands-on technical training and hear breaking news from the web community. It is a valuable opportunity to network with peers, renowned speakers and us, the team of Powerflasher and FDT.

Like every year we invite you not only to our booth to respond to your questions and comments on FDT, we also like to have a good time with you and our famous repowering Dutch energy drinks. Here are a few impressions from last year.

Of course …

… there is also something to win. Among all FOTB attendees we draw the winner of one FDT 4 Max version.

See you in Brighton!

Looking back: FOTB 2009

October 4, 2009 by Carlo Matic

Three days Flash on the Beach. Three days with friends. Three days full of inspiration. As we were silver sponsor, we had a really nice and really big booth and could start to collect some valuable feedback on our development tool for Flash (FDT) right there.

We listen to our users and friends. Your wishes will be considered and incorporated in the ongoing development of FDT.

To give you an even better idea of how good an event it was: Below you’ll find a few short statements made by our own crew, followed by a long list of blog posts, pics and videos by other FOTB attendees sharing their experience with us.

Interview at sea

September 22, 2009 by Carlo Matic

As you might know the FDT Team is again an exhibitor at the Flash on the Beach in Brighton. Before they even arrived Michael Plank gave an interview about what the visitors can expect if they stop by at our booth. He also talks about some secret features which will come with the next major release of FDT. Have fun!
