WebDU Sydney 2010 @ Bondi Beach

May 10, 2010 by Michael Plank

WebDU in Sydney at wonderful Bondi Beach was a blast! It was held in the Swiss Grand Hotel directly at the beach.

First day was a workshop day where I ran the “Flash/Flex/Air Development with Parsley and other Frameworks” workshop. The workshop included a free FDT Professional license for each attendee!

Two days of conference with 5 parallel tracks followed.

The tile of my session this year was “Component-based Flash Game Architecture”. You can download my presentation slides and the demo example here.

Because Bondi Beach is all about surfing, the conference organizers from Daemon arranged a surf lesson with professional trainers! This was the perfect finish for a great conference! Pics from InfluxisGrant can be found here.

Looking forward to WebDU 2011 🙂

Conference roundup May – June

July 2, 2009 by Michael Plank

The last conference trip started in Sydney  Australia with the WebDU conference.
From Sydney straight to the Flash On Tap conference in Boston. A really big hop causing a really bad jetlag 🙁
There was only one week between Flash On Tap and Flashbelt so I decided to stay in the US and spend the week in wonderful LA. Next stop was Flashbelt in Minneapolis. From east to west coast to somewhere in the middle. Nice!
The last conference before the summer break was the Flash at the Lake conference in Zurich – Switzerland.

Great events, great people, great everything 🙂 Love it!

new year, new things from FDT

January 13, 2009 by Carlo Matic

Hi folks,

Happy New Year from the whole FDT Team, if it is still ok to say that at mid january!!!

2008 was a tremendous and crazy year for us, with lots of experiences, new FDT editions, tons of new features and we are proud to say, a huge step in the development of the best ActionScript Editor out there. But we do not stay still, we proceed.

2009 is going to be a very promising year with many sleepless nights, but also a brand new FDT feature we are all eagerly waiting for: MXML. With MXML, FDT will become THE solution for all people writing source code in the Flash and Flex World!! But there is more coming from the Powerflasher FDT Team:

We started our new FDT Training Center! You will get customized and standard trainings for AS3 and FDT. Furthermore, you can pass an exam and call yourself “FDT certified developer”.

We will launch “CIPHER”, the Obfuscator developed from Nicolas Cannasse and the FDT Team. Safety for Flash files!!!!

Our PDF Book enters the third dimension. Visualisation of Documents in 3D!!!

We will again come to your area!! Here are the events that we are supporting. We are looking forward to meet you there.

FITC Amsterdam
FOTB Miami
Roadshow New York City (contact us for appointments)
FITC Toronto
Flashforum Cologne
Web DU Sydney
Flash on Tap Boston
Flashbelt Minneapolis

cheers,

frank
