Video: From code optimization to bytecode optimization

Joa showed all of his Open-Source Eclipse plug-ins he wrote within the last months. He started to write a whole framework called Apparat to optimize flash applications in different ways like reducing filesize of embedded images and changing bytecode commands as well as using bytecode inline.

The result was an unbelievable groth of frames per second. Though not all of the plug-ins are ready to use it was very impressive to see what is possible at the lowest level of coding. So fasten your seat belts and take a look yourself how fast a SWF can be: Part 1 & Part 2.

    I watched the video, but the audio cuts off half way through. I’m really hoping that you, or someone can upload the whole talk with audio.

    His keyboard has no symbols on it :O
