How to use ASC 2.0 with the new FDT release from 11.12.2012:

Download Adobe Flex 4.6 SDK

Download Adobe AIR 3.5 SDK with ActionScript Compiler 2.0

Add new Flex SDK 4.6 to ‘Installed SDK’ list

Merge new added Flex SDK 4.6 with zip file from Air SDK 3.5

Use merged Flex SDK 4.6 & Air SDK 3.5 as project SDK

Turn on ASC 2.0 option in launcher:

Please note that ASC 2.0 won’t work with FDT 5.6 MAX or any prior 11.12.2012 FDT release.

Have you merged SDKs correctly? You’ll need the latest AIR SDK.

Is there any solution found for the issue Andrew Macrae was experiencing with nothing generated for ASC 2.0? I’m also experiencing the same thing.

Andrew Macrae(Customer) and Stephanie Swiderski(FDT Team) found out that the ASC 2.0 support in FDT requires Java 1.7 !

We will change this requirement to Java 1.6
in the next release.

Is there a step missing? I try to build a SWF but nothing is generated (no errors, but no SWF). Turn off the ASC 2.0 option and it compiles just fine.
